Rail and Bus Information to Poiana Brasov & Cabana Postavaru
Poiana Brasov is Romania’s most renowned mountaintop ski and summer resort, and a mere 20 minute drive or 30 minute bus ride from downtown Brasov. In the winter Poiana Brasov offers some of the best skiing in Romania, and in the summer it has fantastic trails for hiking and mountain biking into the Southern Carpathian Mountains.
To reach Cabana Postavaru, simply take the Gondola and walk down the Red Road trail/slope (Drumul Rosu) for a few minutes to reach the cabin. For a magnificent panoramic view of Brasov and the adjacent Bucegi Mountains, you can take the cable car to the summit of Postavarul Mountain (5,756 feet/1799 meters).

Trains from Bucharest to Brasov and Poiana Brasov – Cabana Postavaru
Trains from Bucharest to Brasov depart approximately every hour between 6AM and 10PM from Bucharest North – Train station, duration to Brasov is about three hours.
After you get to Brașov take bus 4 from the Brașov train station to downtown Brasov (Livada Postei terminal) then bus 20 up to Poiana Brasov (runs every half hour).
